About Global Shree Gaurangas Foundation Trust

Global Shree Gaurangas Foundation Trust is a grassroots nonprofit organisation committed to empowering rural and urban vulnerable communities through education, health, sanitation, nutrition, environmental sustainability, social and cultural development.

The Trust operates under the public-facing identity “Global Shree Gaurangas Foundation Trust” to reflect its broader vision and collaborative
outlook, while remaining legally registered as Shree Gauranga's Foundation Trust.

Registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 and compliant with the Income Tax Act, 1961 (12A & 80G), the Trust implements all initiatives as non-religious and non-political social development programs aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.


Our Purpose

The Trust was established to address gaps in access to education, healthcare, sanitation, nutrition,dignity, environmental awareness, legal literacy, animal welfare, ethical living, cultural understanding, and essential community resources, particularly among socially, economically, and geographically vulnerable populations.

Our work focuses on long-term community empowerment through awareness, access, participation, dialogue, and responsible implementation.


Our Core Focus Areas

Education, Skill Development & Legal Awareness

  • Access to education and skill development for children, youth, and women
  • Digital literacy and vocational training initiatives
  • Free legal awareness and legal literacy programs for underprivileged communities

Health, Sanitation & School Infrastructure

  • Preventive healthcare, medical awareness, and health camps
  • Sanitation and hygiene awareness initiatives
  • Construction of toilets and sanitation facilities in tribal and rural schools to improve hygiene, dignity, and education retention
  • Emergency medical and relief support during public health crises and natural disasters

Food Security, Nutrition & Community Kitchens

  • Distribution of nutritious meals and dry ration kits to vulnerable populations
  • Community food support during emergencies and public gatherings

  • World peace awareness initiatives and conventions encouraging dialogue on ethics, values, non-violence, and the synthesis of scientific and humanistic perspectives for societal well-being

All cultural and awareness initiatives are conducted as inclusive, non-religious, and non-political programs.

Geographic Reach

  • Urban communities within the Vasai–Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC)
  • Rural and tribal regions of Palghar district and surrounding areas

While current initiatives are implemented within defined geographies, the Trust’s program models are designed to be scalable and replicable and can be adapted for implementation across other regions based on local needs, partnerships, and resources.


Governance & Trustees

The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for strategic direction, statutory compliance, financial oversight, and ethical governance.

Financial Transparency

The Trust maintains proper books of accounts for all its activities.

Due to operational disruptions during and following the COVID-19 period, statutory audits could not be completed for certain financial years. The audit process is currently being re-initiated, and updated audited financial statements will be made available in due course.

In the interim, financial records and utilisation details are maintained and are available for review on request.


CSR & Compliance

All initiatives of the Trust are aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, covering education, healthcare, sanitation, nutrition, food security, women empowerment, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, legal awareness, cultural development, peace awareness, and rural & urban community development.
